Simona is a Sicilian photographer and visual artist. She studied in Palermo and Milan and holds a Master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo.

After working in Milan and later living in London (2013–2017), she returned to Sicily, where she continued her artistic research and developed projects combining photography, public space, and community engagement.

She collaborates with cultural and social organizations as a photographer, editor, project manager, and trainer. Her work focuses on active citizenship, human rights, social inclusion, women’s empowerment, and educational opportunities for children and young people.

Simona currently leads workshops that promote a conscious and critical use of photography as a tool for observation, storytelling, and social awareness. Her work has been exhibited in national and international group exhibitions.
