Storytelling for Teaching and Learning is an engaging Erasmus+ teacher training course designed to help educators develop creativity, communication skills, and innovative teaching methods through the power of stories. The course shows how storytelling can transform learning by making complex content more engaging, memorable, and meaningful. Participants improve imagination, self-expression, foreign language communication, and verbal fluency while overcoming barriers such as shyness and fear of public speaking.
Through practical workshops and experiential learning, teachers learn how to structure and deliver compelling stories that increase student engagement, motivation, and knowledge retention. Storytelling supports emotional connection and helps students better understand themselves, others, and the world, making it a powerful tool across different subjects and educational levels.
Inspired by the methodology of Adrian Underhill and recognised by the European Commission with the European Innovative Teaching Award (EITA), the course combines pedagogical innovation with real classroom application. It is suitable for teachers of all subjects, school leaders, and education staff who want to improve their English fluency and communication skills in a safe and supportive environment while creating more interactive, creative, and meaningful learning experiences.
