The distance from Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) to the city center of Athens is approximately 20 kilometers (about 12 miles). The airport is well-connected to the city by various transportation options, including taxis, buses, and the Athens Metro. The travel time from the airport to the city center can vary depending on the mode of transportation and traffic conditions but is generally around 30-40 minutes by car. The Athens Metro provides a convenient and efficient way to reach the city center, with a direct line connecting the airport to various central locations in Athens.

Our Social Programme is a perfect way to experience the beauty of Atnens, get to know other participants from EU countries and make wonderful memories before going back home. 

We offer one afternoon cultural activity included in the course fee (a guided tour around Athens) and one optional extra paid trip.

Public Transport
There are 3 ways to get from the airport to the city centre (Syntagma metro station):

Metro, line 2 (blue) towards Dimotiko Theatro
Travel time is about 40 minutes
Cost: 10 euros
3-day ticket costs 20 euros
5-day ticket costs €28.2 (€20 + €8.2)
Metro tickets are worth buying outside the metro station.

Bus, line X95 in the direction of Syntagma
Travel time between 40 and 60 minutes
Cost: 5 euros

Taxi, cost: about €50. (Freenow, Uber)
