Liliana da Gama

Born on the Portuguese Atlantic Island of Madeira, Liliana is a firm believer in the power of education to ensure Humanity a brighter future and of language learning in building bridges of communication, understanding and peace among peoples.

With a 35-year experience in Foreign Language Teaching within the Portuguese Public System of Education, Ms. Gama has worked in different public schools, where she also acquired experience in the following positions and fields:

  • Erasmus+ Project Team Coordinator
  • Teacher Training and Assessment
  • Head of the English Department
  • Teacher representative in the School Community Council
  • Coordination of school clubs and projects (UNESCO, European Club, iShare Solidarity Shop, Animal Defense Club, Climate Strike)  and organization of events (Carnival, Flower Festival, other festivities and events)
